Powered by Femininity with Sacramento Boudoir Photographer

When I first started taking boudoir images I recall trying to get all the "sexy" poses down with the perfect A line, the correct lighting or so I thought based on my studies with school held by the New York Institute of Photography, (Alumni 2013).

It wasn't until my recent education workshop in Italy where I could study under master boudoir body image photographer's Terri Hoffard & Kara Marie. How amazing that experience? LIFE CHANGING!

Boudoir can be shot anywhere at anytime of the day challenging one's mine set on the rules, what if's, and the just do it for goodness sakes!

How the angle change and the settings change can alter the mood of one's portrait. How would you prefer to see your images? A question I often ask my clients and most have no idea.

I will get responses back such as, "I want to look sexy, I want to look good, I want to look desirable!" But to each person that means something completely different. For me sexy is my over sized shirt hanging off the shoulder with coffee in my hands, hair up with half makeup on/off.

To others it means getting all dolled up hair & makeup, spraying on you perfume you save for special occasions, wearing the perfect lingerie or like Jenny above, underwear and a sheer fabric.

This was shoot was all done in a hallway walking towards her garage where a window so happen to be and where the sun so happen to be shinning brightly over at the moment. It was not planned but the light caught my eyes and within minutes I had a floor goddess.
